Happy Holidays, from all of us, here at The Eye Centre!
As 2020 draws to a close, I think we can all agree that it has been an unprecedented and unpredictable year. With COVID-19 claiming not only lives, but livelihoods, it is important to us, now more than ever, to thank you for your ongoing support in 2020 and beyond.
2020 was, however, not without its shining moments. Despite the impact of the pandemic on all sectors of the economy, as well as on our everyday lives, The Eye Centre is proud to have been able to continue to participate in the Right to Sight campaign in September of this year, and is proud to have, once again, provided pro bono surgery to those who need it most. For more information on the Right to Sight campaign, pro bono surgery and September’s designation as Eyecare Awareness month, visit the Right to Sight website at: www.righttosight.org
In other news, our resident oculoplastic surgeon, Dr Lenake officially became an International Associate Member of the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ASOPRS) this year. This prestigious society accepts only the finest applicants from all over the world, and her membership was formally announced during the society’s annual meeting, which was held virtually, in late November. Congratulations, Dr Lenake!
For more information on The Eye Centre, we are all available via telephone 0218526475 and email info@theeyecentre.co.za for all queries.
Please note: The practice will be closed from the 18th of December 2020, until we reopen on the 11th of January 2021.
Wishing you and yours a fabulous festive season, and a Happy New Year!
